❑ June 17-June 21      Celebrate the Sun (2 spots left)

Join us as we make flower crowns, solstice tea, and learn songs and dances. We'll practice yoga daily with the sun salutation and create a celebratory meal together on the solstice!

❑ June 24-June 28      Treasure Hunt (Waitlist Only)

Join us for a different treasure hunt every day. We will search for treasure in our school, in our backyard, in our neighborhood and park. We will make maps, and keep an eye out for goblins. It's possible that we might even find buried treasure in our sandbox. We will store our jewels and gold in hand painted treasure chests.

❑ July 8-July 12           Fairytale Theatre (Waitlist Only)

All the world’s a stage and we are merely its players – as we lead the children through the rich art of fairy tales. Through storytelling, re-enacting, song and dance we will experience fairy tales of old.

❑ July 15-July 19         Taste of India

Join us as we explore the rich culture of India through music, movement, folktales, food, and art. Make a sari, grind spices to make curry, and learn traditional Indian songs along with some snappy Bollywood dance moves.

❑ July 29-Aug 2           Fairies & Elves (Waitlist Only)

Magic is afoot at Plum Tree School as we explore the natural world of fairies and elves. From fairy houses to elvin crowns we will create a world of magical wonder. Through stories, songs, games and adventure we will learn more about our friends the mysterious and sometimes mischievous Fae!

❑ Aug 5-Aug 9             Nature Camp (Waitlist Only)

Spend the week outside in the Plum Tree yard and at Manito Park, exploring and appreciating nature. We will notice local insects, animals, and plants and contemplate their connections. We will make art from natural materials, and have a blast being immersed in nature play!

❑ Aug 19-Aug 23         As I See It – My world expressed

This week we will explore different art media. Painting, making mono-prints and a crankie* are just a few of the mediums we will be using. * A crankie is an old folk art tradition that uses a long scroll of illustrated paper or fabric to tell a story. The scroll is wound onto a dowel and fixed inside a special crankie box with the other end attached to another dowel. The storyteller/singer then cranks the story along across the opening of the box. Picture a forerunner of the TV.
